Engaging Teams in Productive Mathematics Quickly and Effectively

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Learn how to decrease the time it takes to engage students in team problem solving. Based on the research of Peter Liljedahl, explore proven methods and reasons to have students work on vertical non-permanent surfaces (most commonly, whiteboards) in random groups (and roles). Find creative ways to work vertically even without whiteboards. Also, experience how formative assessment, study team strategies, and orchestrating discussion work seamlessly using random grouping and vertical surfaces.
